Greece’s First National Impact Report
This report marks a milestone Greece’s impact economy. It is the first coordinated attempt to map, study, and benchmark the Greek impact investing ecosystem. We have identified opportunity clusters, provided a information on capital flows, offered a first policy roadmap, and illuminated voices from the field through 30+ interviews with industry experts and thought leaders from Greece and abroad.
The 1st Hellenic Impact Report is the result of years of direct market observation and data collection by the HIIN, Greece’s Οfficial National Platform for Impact Investing. It includes a coordinated research effort conducted in 2024 with our industry partners, involves targeted surveys of investors and startups, ecosystem mapping, and qualitative interviews.

This is not just a report. It is a strategic reference point for understanding the evolving impact landscape in Greece. It provides a data rich analysis of the ecosystem and a thorough benchmarking against its European peers, a real baseline from which Greece’s impact economy can thrive. Spearheaded by the HIIN, this report establishes Greece for the first time on the European Impact Map, in line with the mapping methodology of leading European and global organizations.
In this report we highlight impact investing as a powerful lever for systemic change and one of the most vital tools in driving progress towards UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. Greece is moving towards a more sustainable economic model, and this report is a useful tool for the public and the private ecosystems to learn, get inspired and collaborate to mobilize capital for environmental and social good.
