The Hellenic Impact Investing Network (HIIN) is the official National Platform for Impact Investing in Greece, recognized by GSG Impact – a global coalition of national impact investing platforms in over 50 countries. Our mission is to advance the impact investing ecosystem in Greece and the region, and to mobilize capital for a sustainable future by connecting Greek and international stakeholders across finance, policy, philanthropy and entrepreneurship.

In October 2023, at the GSG Global Impact Summit in Málaga, the Hellenic Impact Investing Network was formally accredited as Greece’s National Advisory Board by the Global Steering Group for Impact Investing (GSG), and is since then a GSG National Partner.
The appointment places Greece’s impact community firmly on the global impact investing map and gives the HIIN a mandate to shape national policy, align local practice with international standards, and attract cross-border capital.
To meet this responsibility, the HIIN has expanded its board to include leading figures from Greek finance, philanthropy, civil society and the wider impact landscape. This strengthened platform now drives the network’s vision to catalyse the Greek impact economy and champion Greece as a trusted destination for purposeful capital.
GSG Impact acts as the central hub of the worldwide impact investment movement. With more than 40 National Partner Organisations around the world, it unites investors, businesses, philanthropists and policymakers to steer capital toward solutions that improve lives and protect the planet.
GSG Impact’s mission is to transform the global investment system such that impact is embedded into every decision. To achieve this, GSG Impact shapes policy, supplies market data and standards, and convenes practitioners at its annual Global Impact Summit. As Greece’s officially accredited National Partner, the HIIN works closely within this powerful alliance to align national practice with global benchmarks and showcase the opportunities and promise of the emerging Greek impact economy.
The HIIN is putting a new dynamic to its vision and mission, by expanding its Advisory Board with exceptional personalities from the Greek & Impact Ecosystem. As a National Platform, the HIIN elevates the Greek impact ecosystem to global recognition, shapes policies and regulations that can drive impact investment initiatives, and promotes Greece in the global impact investing community.

We focus and specialize on investment-ready initiatives with return potential and our network works with a “triple goal mindset”. Therefore, our key-verticals include:
Impact education – impact awareness and education around the nature of Impact Investing itself, as a methodology (local audiences), as well as the attractiveness of the country as a premier destination for impact projects (international audiences)
Impact readiness – for example, helping young entrepreneurs to develop a robust impact business plan and metrics and communicate their offering with the global impact community
Enabling impact– for example, supporting Greek related initiatives around the creation of registered and regulated investment products (e.g. funds, notes, bonds) focusing on sustainability and impact investing
